    Grandparents, parents and cousins under one roof. Marine Bay sleeps 17 guests in ten bedrooms with ten bathrooms, so every couple and every set of children has a room of their own.

    Wermdö Golf & Country Club is 20 minutes from Marine Bay and Haninge Golf Course 15 minutes from Villa Junibacken. A yacht charter leaves from the villa’s own harbor or the nearest marina for a day among the islands.

A Stockholm Archipelago Vacation, with the City in Your Plans

If this is your first visit to Sweden, start with one question: how often do you want to go into Stockholm? The archipelago begins at the edge of the city and runs east across roughly 30,000 islands. Our collection includes homes in Nacka and Värmdö, close to the city. The Hamptons is about 20 minutes by car from Stockholm city.

A waterfront setting is not the same as a private beach or dock. The Hamptons and Malibu Estate have a private beach. If one of these matters to your family, name it in your inquiry.

Plan the Details Before Your Family Arrives

Five or six bedrooms are a starting point. Tell us how many adults and children are traveling, the children’s ages and any bed arrangements you need. Bring your practical questions early:

  • Air conditioning: which bedrooms and living areas have it
  • Traveling with a baby: whether a crib is available for your dates
  • Pool and water access: what supervision your children will need
  • Bedroom layout: whether rooms are together, on different floors or in separate buildings
  • Getting into Stockholm: the drive to the places you plan to visit

Planning a Summer Vacation in Sweden?

June, July and August are high season. Daylight lasts past 10 pm around Midsummer in late June, and the sea is at its warmest, though water temperatures vary from week to week and villa to villa. Start with the home that suits your family, then decide what you want arranged around it: a private chef, airport transportation and a chauffeur, or a yacht charter day in the archipelago. You do not need a fully staffed stay to inquire.

Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) is Sweden’s main international airport, and we can have a private chauffeur meet you there. English is spoken almost everywhere in Sweden. You can pay for your stay in US dollars, euros, Swedish kronor or British pounds.

About Mr Charles

Mr Charles has arranged private stays in Stockholm since 2019. It began with chauffeur service, and the families we drove kept asking the same question: where should we stay? The hotels were fine. What they wanted was a home by the water, a kitchen of their own, and someone local to arrange the rest. That is what we do now. Before a family arrives, we check the villa ourselves, confirm the beds, the pool and the drive into the city, and, when airport transportation is booked, make sure the car is at the airport when the flight lands. If something is unclear, you hear it from us before you book, not after.
